Between everything going on down here this weekend, the traffic is crazy and will continue to be...

Depends on if you're willing to pay to use the 407.

the 407 ends in Burlington though, the traffic on the QEW Niagara after Burlington is where it gets bad. I'd personally avoid going down there all together, unless you're staying the night tonight. Then again, the traffic going home will likely be brutal too!

Take back rd to niagara. Take 407 to Burlington. Then qew exit red hill, take red hill exit mud, take mud to upper centenie/hwy 20 and turn right. Take upper cent to stop light in front of fortinos plaza and turn left onto hwy 20 and follow signs to niagara falls...more scenic, longer but less likely to hit crazy traffic on qew niagara

HaHa! Hubby did that this morning and it was just as bad as the QEW and he says even worse due to the "sight-see'ers", LMAO!

And all this with no accidents. If there is like last year then QEW will be almost shut down.
I love falls but always go there in weekdays and never during such long weekends.

Will I have any issues going towards Buffalo on Monday at around 8-9am and coming home around 4-5pm? I need to go down for an interview therefore I just am going for the day.

It's tough to say. I don't think it will be as busy. Cross at the rainbow bridge though, that is usually the quickest. Coming home will probably be busier as most people will be leaving around then.

Tell that to all the "let's go out for a countryside drive' folks then. ;) And if you know what out there, there is actually lots. ;):D

Leave plenty early as the bridges may be delayed going into the US with day-trippers. Coming home, expect a LONG wait as it's when everyone will be coming back who went for the weekend. As always, check all 3 bridges while on the highway and make the decision then which one to cross based on the least delay.

Assuming you are talking about this werkend, they are probably both going to be just as busy, so what ever is more convenient for you. The drive home on Sunday may be a little less congested though.

Yeah... We'll go tomorrow - the Ontario side will likely have Monday hours (until 9pm) as will the Buffalo side. Both close at 6pm today...
With three extra hours, we have alot more time to waste sight-seeing and eating...

Please don't drive 100 in the left lane in your beige corolla. Remember, keep right except to pass.

LMAO.
He cant. If he tries he will be harassed by so so many drivers. And Cops might give ask him to keep right.
It will be bumper to bumper 130KM/h in left lane.

We crossed over at Lewiston this morning at 7:30am, there was about 5 cars lined up per booth. On the way home at 9:30am they were backed up to the middle of the bridge already.

Good to hear. I live in a busy tourist town. When I went into town this morning at 10:30 for a coffee it was packed! By 11:30 the line up of cars was ridiculous. Peller Estates wasn't too bad though consider the event that is going on.

going there yesterday was alright. Lots and LOTS of volume, but traffic was moving between 100-130 with a few hiccup spots that were around 10-30kms.
Going back home after the fireworks was a disaster. It took an hour to get out of the falls to fifty road. After fifty road, it's just volume all the way to the QEW to mid sauga but i was cruising nicely around 130-140. Don't take the HOV lane at night. It barely goes past 100. Right lane is substantially faster then passing lanes overall
if anyone is planning on going today.. GOOD LUCK!!!! it won't be as bad as last year's canada day, but pretty bad still
