willing to provide $1.00 and comfort for an orphan mac

looking for a mac under a $1.00.must be dusty, sitting on a shelf unwanted, but you just can't bring yourself around to tossing it.
i need it for an apple tv 1 project. the apple tv 1 is n need of repair.i need to create patchsticks to try and get the hd working again.currently it is in a constant restore loop.i have a pc. but, it just will not do mac stuff.so reboot, restore mode i'm stuck at.

nope, no relatives or friends have macs.
will be looking for a cyber cafe that has macs and lets you use the usb port.
did buy another apple tv 1 with a flash silver 4.4.1 usb stick. will see if it will boot this one out of a restore loop.even with pc windows usb creator 3.0 it would just ignore the patchstick.

never heard of those two letting you use there equipment.i don't really see them letting me use atv cloner to make a disk image onto there computer of a good atv 1 hd and then reformat the old drive and then reload the clone onto the the drive that was acting up.
maybe the best bet is to just park it as it's not something i must have.
