I am in the market for a car and I would just like to know the gas consumption difference between a v4 and v6 cylinder vehicles especially the following below models.
Honda Accord V4/V6 - 2005 and higher
Toyota Camry V4 - 2006 and higher
Chrysler Sebring I4/V6 - 2007 and higher
Alright now choice is between Accord and Camry, I've heard that older models of the Camrys are very good and and that anything 03 and higher for Accords are good. I would like to know which of these cars better..........
Thanks

Can you provide me with a link to what car manufacturer offers a V4? Cause I don't know how a v4 operates to even consider it being same/different in your statement.

Did you do your research on the web? A lot of info on used car review.
I would do my own homework than trusting strangers on forums for buying my own car.
Info on forums can used for reference, but not to rely on.
PS: V4 doesn't exist.....Stop saying that, people just sounds like a complete newbie when saying V4

If you drive a lot in stop and go traffic, go with the 4 cylinders. Highway fuel economy is pretty much the same for both 4 and 6 cylinders engines for these cars.

Obviously V4 is better than V6 in gas

Euro Ford was the only manufacturer I know that produced V4 engines.

I think the OP meant I4 vs V6 though.

Buy a V6 with cylinder deactivation, such as an Accord V6

How many kms do you drive a year ?
And what % of those kms would you say is highway driving ?
Are you looking to maximize fuel economy ?

1. almost 18000 km/yr
2. say 80 percent on the road and 20 percent on highway
3. Well looking to get at least a week half out of the car on full tank......

For a normal commute person. A 4 cyclinder is surely better and save more on gas. Unless you carry heavy stuff in the car all the time, then maybe opt for a 6 cyclinders car

Get the V6, you'll use less gas since you won't have to floor it all the time to get up to speed.
Get the Camry V6. It's got the best engine out of all three.

fuel economy in city is usually based on vehicle weight as the biggest factor. highway economy is based off of aerodynamics

The above cars do not have V4 engines. If gas consumption is an issue, take the 4 cylinder Accord. The Sebring should be last choice.

You will be better off with a small displacement I4 IF (big IF) you don't mash the pedal and try to keep up with faster traffic from light to light. If you do, you will do worse with the smaller engine.
Here is a good example of a car where the engine difference is important:
http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/vehicles/buick/lacrosse/compare-options-and-specifications#specifications
Here is an example where the engine difference is negligible, and even favors the larger engine:

Accord.

I would get the accord or camry 4 cylinder which ever you find cheaper. In terms of fuel consumption, both cars average around 9-10km per litre in the city and 12-13km on the highway. I have a 2005 accord and also own a V6 Chevy Impala which averages 8-9km per litre in the city and around 10-12 km on the highway.

go with a 07+ camry or altima hybrid if you are doing 80% city.
