this...only real way to find out is to run the red light and have your passenger notice if any flashes go off...
If you get a ticket a few weeks later in the mail, you know your answer!
They hide these cameras really well nowadays, even disguising them (like a bird house, a potted plant etc)...so you really can't find it even if you look for it...

I can only speak for Bayview/Cummer... but they have signs up telling you a red light camera is in place.

i believe toronto is the only city with red light cameras. dont think vaughan, richmond hill, markham have them. someone correct me if im wrong.

yeah why do they do that?
why do they announce that there is a red light camera at the approaching intersection?
let the guy run the light and pay for it.

Because believe it or not, the cameras are there to prevent people from running the red light, not to make money off of them.

let the guy run the light and pay for it.I think by law they have to tell you that there is a red light camera. I could be mistaken.

well it cant be both of these reasons :p
if its the first reason, why not just put the signs at every intersection. no one has to know if there is a real camera there or not.
