Every fricken day when I open my mail box there's another flyer, card, newsletter from some real estate agent with an 80's politician hair style.
Has anyone ever picked an agent based on a crap flyer wedged into their door?
Think of the trees!!!

Maybe a note on your mailbox indicating you don't want "junk mail" might help.

never works. people don't care - they just want to get their name out..
I think everyone chooses real estate agents by word of mouth anyway. the flyers are for those who are new to the game (in most cases)

Yes that does help.
But I don't have problem with this one. We have blue bins.
But it gives info how high the house in/around are sold for. Above price I might add.

The answer is yes, it happens. They do it because it works. I understand your pain, I have an agent in the family so all the flyers go directly into the blue bin for me too.

Market's hot, makes sense. I get spammed by the same 5 or 6 agents about 3 or 4 times a week in my mailbox. I've gotten the same card/flyer for the same two agents every day for the past two weeks, waste of paper and ink and it goes straight to my blue bin.

Ahhhh. I missed this one.
Is it against real estate agents or save the environment or what is the fuss about.
So if we we stop this massive printing we can save trees. Can we save jobs?

we get tons of this stuff every week in my neighborhood...really glossy pages, almost magazines in some cases...and sometimes from the same realtors multiple times a week. Its overkill, and I dont even know how recyclable this junk is.
Enough is enough....Im talking to you Sam Mcdadi and James Hodgins.

The problem is, manny, as soon as you do that, you look like the a-hole, not them.
Its a funny world we live in, where anyone can do just about anything they want, and even impose on you, but when someone complains, they look like the unreasonable crazy person.

Be thankful that it's so expensive to send those out in the mail, otherwise you would have 10 times more spam in your mail box.
And yes, it works really well. It's usually good for people who don't know a real estate agent but have a thought about buying/selling when they see those ads.
But yea, i also find it hard to believe that not everyone knows an agent already but that's the truth.

I'm not sure if they still do this, but many moons ago they used to list how much all the properties sold for in the entire neighbourhood. Now that was annoying!
