I'm a huge fan of Diner's, Drive-In's, and Dive's and now that they have a Canadian version of the show called "You Gotta Eat Here", I wanted to check out the restaurants featured on the show in the Toronto area. I went ahead and looked up all of the restaurants in the Toronto Area featured on the show so I can check them out. I thought I would share this list with everyone since I know a lot of people have been looking around for one. Any feedback on your experience at any of these restaurants would be great. Here's the list.

You should add what their cuisine/speciality is for each restaurant. A listing of all the restaurants by province would be appreciated too. ;)

I can't find the Dangerous Dans one online, wish I could. Hammering the Quad c was fun.
I'd do more of these challenges if they were free for people who eat them - I don't want to hammer a challenge then have to pay $50 for it lol

What type of diner is The Musket? What was the specialty on the show?

if there's no ethnic food on the list then i can't take it seriously, it's either written by morons or rednecks.

The Musket was on "Street Eats". I believe it's a German restaurant located in Etobicoke.

Yup, it's a German restaurant with lots of wurst, schnitzel and mustard. They source their rye bread from the Dimplemeier bakery which is just next door to them.
The food is alright, but I wouldn't go back there just for the food.

I've been to Uncle Betty's. They are famous for Dreesen's donuts which personally I don't find to be anything great.
I went for brunch only. Food was okay, wasn't blown away, but wasn't disappointed either.
Would not go out of my way for this place

Went here last weekend. The BBQ chicken is quite delicious.

What was so good from Phils that would make me want to upgrade their food rating all the way up to average...

I completed the Quad C! It was by far the fullest I ever felt.
Kinda disappointed in that list... the Musket is nothing special and Dangerous Dan's is all gimmick. Food quality is mediocre.

Yeah, unless Uncle Betty's has improved since we went last year, it's nothing to talk about. I had brunch and the breakfast seemed no more different than anything I make at home like the scrambled eggs were not even fluffy and the orange juice was Tropicana (saw them pour it). Wasn't impressed and haven't gone back.

I thought The Musket looked pretty good. The BBQ pork hock and the jager schnitzel. Has anyone tried before I drive all the way from Scarborough.
Uncle Betty I thought looked pretty average. We went there for Greg's marshmallow icecream. But not sure if I would pay $14 or so for the mac and cheese meatloaf sandwich.
Cafe Polonez looked pretty good too. Any recommendations from the menu?

I've been to the Musket a few times. Warsteiner on tap and good schnitzel, and reasonably priced.
Phil's bbq I've been to once. I'd go back

Maybe you should learn to eat other foods that are available in Toronto. You might grow up & stop being a complete jerk.

Not in th GTA, but just came back from Smoken Bones in Victoria, BC, which was on the show.
Really good BBQ, nice ambience, good specials, didn't run out of food, and affordable prices....had the brisket sandwich, with fries (especially notable), decent sized sides of Mac and cheese and baked beans (shared with my kid). Along with a reg spinach salad and some cokes, came to $32.
Waitress was cute as a button and seemed really busy although service was still pretty slow, the only negative, but as I said she seemed busy, so I didn't hold it against her.
