I bought a laptop online and saw the return policy state the following "We would be pleased to exchange or give you a refund in-store on most items you buy online, up to 30 days after your receive your order. We will gladly exchange computers, monitors, printers, laptops, tablets, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, cellular and wireless devices, portable DVD players, and air conditioners up to 14 days after you receive your order."

now does that mean they only exchange within 14 days for laptops or would they refund as well?

Be careful with online orders. I recently returned a laptop to Future Shop that I ordered online and while I did so only 12 days after receiving it from the Post Office, they said I was technically passed the 14 days according to their system as their system goes by the the date the order was made, which I can understand, but at the same time it is asinine.

They took the return, but some reps might turn this into more of a hassle than need be. This is the assumption that Best Buy would run similarly to Future Shop (seeing as the latter is owned by the former).

And if you paid for the order via a gift card then that is the only way you can be refunded and gift cards are apparently non-refundable.

Please note: for online returns, Best Buy's 30- and 14-day return policy begins on the date your items are delivered to you.

I guess for those who have trouble returning 14-days period, you can show them the link above. The policy made it clear that they should not give you any hassle.
Hope it helps.
