Can someone suggest a good program that blocks ads but also allows you the ability to configure certain sites to show ads?
Thanks,

Use the ad blocker extension in Google Chrome or Firefox add-ons.
Google Chrome: http://chromeadblock.com/
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
There should be options in the addons to disable adblock on specific sites.

Yeah, this is the best I've found.
I also use ABP with fanboy's list with just facebook blacklisted, since admuncher doesn't do filtering on https sites.

Admuncher is the best for windows.
For mac, use LittleSnitch + Adblock Plus Fanboy's ULTIMATE list.

IE7Pro, but it doesn't work for IE9. IE6/7/8 all work with it.

Like others have suggested, I also use Adblock Plus for Firefox.

You can find this and many other addons for FF. Chrome with an adware blocker, is that a joke? Google is tracking you that why they give it for free.
