Anyone know a great location to rent bicycles and go on a nice trail? I already been to the Toronto Island bicycle rental and the one in Niagara on the Lake. I need another place that Rents bicycles. I dont have my own and have no space for it. Thanks so much!

I take it the bixi system doesn't work for you?
If your looking to hit trails, a lot of people talk about ExclusiveSport Rentals in Newmarket, you can apparently rent high end bikes. That area would be much better to bike around then the GTA.

Unless you're doing a short commute, Bixi is a huge rip-off! Absolutely not intended for doing a long trail because you'll be paying through the nose for it. A 4 hour ride will cost you over $50 for instance. Check out the City of Toronto website -- lists lots of great trails as well as bike rental places. http://www.toronto.ca/cycling/map/index.htm Also good info on bike trails here: http://ontariobikepaths.com/ You don't need to go too far out of your way for a good bike trails. Tons of them in Toronto

Given how much a rental can be, you are better off buying a used one then donating it afterwards.
Don't you have any friends that have a bike you can borrow?

Its more about the hassle. I have a small apt and my car has a big car audio setup in the trunk so I have no space to lug a bike around. Or else I would just buy a used one.
Toronto does have nice trails.

I don't think $25 or $30/day is that much. Depends on how much riding you do. A decent bike will cost you $300 or $400+ so if you're not riding alot, renting is fine.

But if you did a trail in Toronto you wouldn't have to lug your bike around. ;) Or if you did, you could get one of those bike racks that you fit on your car but i'm guessing you're not going to like that.
