Can anyone suggest a hotel which provide airport and cruise port free pick up to and from in Fort Lauderdale and Everlades cruise port?
I find Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port. My flight will be landed around 8:30 pm Saturday. Does anyone know they still picl us up from airport to hotel? Anyone had experience with this hotel? I really appreciate your information.

I stayed there with my family in December. Nice place - good shuttle to/from the airport and cruise port. Be sure to book your time with the front desk. Just look for the shuttle with the pink flamingos on the roof.

We will be going on our cruise this August and will sail from FLL, we booked our 4 stars through priceline (very cheap) and ended up The Westin Diplomat, I know they don't have free shuttle but we rent a car from Alamo, will pick up car when we arrive and return to the airport, they have free shuttle to the cruise port. In fact, once you rent their car for pre-cruise, they will drop you off free to the cruise port and you also get free shuttle back to the airport on the day you come back from your cruise (assuming you are flying home the same day), just show them your car rental receipt for the pre-cruise and you will get free shuttle.

Hi snfernandes, did you call for the shuttle bus from the airport to Hampton Inn when you arrived there? Does it have a hotline phone from the airport to call Hampton Inn? We will stay 1 night before the cruise and 2 nights after the crusie. Any suggestion around that area for sight seeing, shopping, fun to do for the family? Thanks again for your info.

Hi There,
We are also going on Aug 19 Allure of the Sea. But we arrive late on Aug 18 around 8:33pm. So it is no point to rent a car. And we also stay 2 days after the cruise, So we cannot take the benfit of the free shuttle from the car rental to airport. Would you mind tell me how much Westin Diplomat charge for 2 adult and 2 kids per night? Hampton Inn charges $125USD with free breakfast and shuttle to and from airport and cruise port. Thanks

I ended up getting $75 + tax (approx. $85) per night for The Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa after a couple bids, this resort is very beautiful and quite new as we had stayed here before (regular price for this Westin is from $259 per, check out this site betterbidding dot com and it helps to know what hotel that you are going to get and how much and how many stars etc., people are very helpful there from the forum just like RFD! We will be going on the Oasis OTS on Aug. 18 but we will fly in from BUF via southwest on Aug. 15, also with our 2 teenagers. We may be waving each other once we are at the Caribbean seas! Happy sailing.
Once I got the confirmation from priceline and also from the hotel, I called the hotel directly and request for 2 double beds and tell them you have 2 children coming with you, resort policy is kids stay free.
Let me know if I can further help.
BTW, I used priceline for the bidding.

Hi There, I booked the Hampton Inn North on Aug 18 through Expedia.ca for $129cad not very good price. But I want to use priceline.com to bid 2 days on Aug 26 to Aug 28 after the crusie. Howa does it work? I try to play around until it asks for CC info. My question, I marked area no. 2 in FLL which Hampton INN North is locate in the same area. I place $75 per night, if my bid was accepted, priceline will let me know which hotel I will stay. And I have to take it otherwise I will lose the total amount of 2 nights. Do you have any experience with PL offered you a very bad hotel? Thanks again.

well you don't have to stay there..you just won't get your money back :D
If you go on the site as already mentioned, you get a good idea of what hotels you will win at each star level on priceline. FWIW I just got back from Ft. Lauderdale and bid on priceline.. $55 won me the Hyatt Place South and it was a great place to stay pre/post cruise. Didn't use their shuttle since I rented a car.
I use priceline weekly for hotels downtown since it's cheaper to get a hotel than a cab... no problems unless you want to stay at a particular hotel for some reason.

Do you have any suggestion for the bidding price for Aug 26, 27 and check out 28 in FLL downtown? We have 2 adult and 2 kids, shuttle bus from cruise port to hotel and shuttle bus from hotel to airport is better. We are not going to rent car. Your suggestion is appreciate. Thanks.

All depends on the star level...i would suggest 3 star for fort lauderdale airport area (it's same/closest to port everglades) since it will get you the hyatt place, mariott courtyard etc... properties that have free wifi and breakfast. You have a longways until your trip, just bid for your dates and start low and go up daily. E.g., start at $50 a night and if unsuccessful, go up by like $2-$5 dollars a night until you succeed/win.
if you bid on priceline, since you don't know what hotel you will get, you don't know if there will be a shuttle provided to cruiseport is one downside.
I highly recommend a car, it's cheap and you can pickup at airport and drop off at cruiseport or vice versa.

just back from FLL. Stayed at the hampton inn....it was perfect for a single night before the cruise. We called the hotel from the airport, and the flamingo shuttle arrived in 10 minutes. All the staff were very friendly. The room was quite large and had a nice bathroom. Free breakfast in the morning and another shuttle to the pier....PERFECT!. There is also a little strip mall right across the street. We were able to get food and bought some clothes.

We have 2 days after the cruise before we back to Toronto. Any suggestion for places we should visit? We dont drive, so public transit will be our choice.

This mall is huge. You can spend 2 days there and not finished visiting all the stores. Careful you don't spend all your money there.

I will go for one day shopping and one day beach. How far the cloest beach to Hampton Inn North? Anyone know and the shuttle will take us there? Your input is appreciated.
