I've been interested in picking up an HTC Sensation or Samsung Galaxy SII or something similar. I only use pay as you go so I'd like to pay cash.
I've been scouring Kijiji and Ebay but they're usually filled with ads from resellers listing dozens of phones. Once in a while you see a private seller but it's tough to sort through it all.
Anyone have any tips/warnings in regards to picking up a used phone on Kijiji? Any other places I should look?

Many local cell phone shops (they seem to be springing up in all the malls in the GTA at least) sell used or refurbished phones.
Many service providers sell refurbished products on line (Koodo and Telus come to mind as examples). They sometimes require an activation and locking into a term (which may not be something you are interested in).
If you can make a contact with a Telus employee, they may be willing to share their ID so you can shop in the Telus Team Web Store. They often have very good deals on refurbished Samsung Galaxy S2 X or Galaxy Nexus phones and (I believe) they don't require an activation (but would require an unlock if you wished to use them on another service provider).
These stores would also provide some kind of warranty...
