I will be going to my FIL's retirement party this weekend and I have no idea what to get him. Any ideas you could suggest would be helpful.

He is into backpacking on trails during the summer. Him and his wife went to Paris last year and loved it. They are considering living there half the year. he likes old, antique things.

$100 or less would be preferable, but would consider going over it a bit for the right gift.

Don't. Unless you want to spend a lot of time showing him how to operate it.

Antique/vintage pocket watch that works? Or something that looks/appears antique-y (since real antique might be pricey)?

I like the antique compass, but I have only three days. I may check out SAIL too. I know there are antique shops in my area (Durham Ontario). I just hope I have time to go looking for it.

Already has a Tilley and he rarely drinks anymore. I was given a suggestion of a nice pair of driving gloves. He was given a gift to take a Ferrari around a track for 6 laps and he is also considering buying a sports car. Wear can I get a really nice pair?
Keep in mind I have no time to order them. have to be able to pick them up. In Durham, but Markham is also an area I frequent.

Something useful for a hobby he enjoys. If he's a handyman, buy him a laser level, for example. If he's an outdoorsman, buy him a Swiss knife or good multitool.

Even though he doesn't drink, he may still appreciate a nice bottle of ice wine.

If he likes backpacking, you could get him a really nice leatherman knife or other item from MEC.
