I've been paying Bell seven bucks a month for a year and a half for Smart Phone Care on a SGS I9000m. 18 months later I have been watching Craigslist for a new phone as I can get a better phone for close to the $150 that SPC would charge, and my SGS is approaching death. Sometimes ringers don't work, battery life isn't what it used to be.
Last week I called to cancel SPC because $150 isn't worth an SGS.
Today my buddy dropped his SGS in the clay pot, they're out of stock in SGS so he's getting SGSII.
I immediately called, my cancellation was pre-dated for next billing cycle so they removed it. If/when my phone dies (Or perhaps if I accelerate that process, reading the terms to see if it would be bad) would it be sketchy? Would my file have a note of the cancel/un-cancel that would have them take a look and possibly make trouble?
I expect it's lifetime remaining is in months anyway, not the nicest to it and it gets an awful lot of use. So I probably wouldn't be guilty of conscience for engineering a claim.
