hey guys,

i've been looking for a good deal on gopro hero2 (probably outdoor edition) for a while now. most GTA stores are selling it for ~$349. i'm looking at the usa websites and some of them are selling for $299 + ~$20 shipping to canada, although most of them do not ship to canada as far as i know.

i'm wondering if anyone know of a better deal than the ones i mentioned above (from a trustable place, no ebay please), or if there's a specific time of the year these usually go on sale.

also looking to get some of the bacpac stuff for gopro (battery, lcd screen, etc.). wondering if there are any good deals out there on these.

thanks!

I've been keeping an eye on these for quite a while and what I've noticed is they NEVER go on sale. Not until they announce the new version, then they drop the price on the older ones.

GL and remember that buying from the states also involves duty/taxes and possibly brokerage fees.

thanks!

futureshop is having a "sale" right now for father's day: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/id/B9003293.aspx?CMP=EMC-ALL-120608

GoPro Wearable HD Camcorder with Chest Mount and Grab Bag Mounting Accessories for $359.99 (a saving of $49). After tax this comes to $406.79 (in Ontario).

However, the regular price in the states for all three added together is $359.97, after $14.95 shipping (if i buy it from the gopro website) and an approx 1.0063 US/CAN dollar conversion rate, that only comes to $377.28.

In other words, the "sale" price in Canada is still more expensive than the regular price in the U.S.

Fail....

might as well buy it from the states instead of waiting for it to go on sale in Canada...

however, i discovered i missed a deal a few weeks back for GoPro Hero 2 + LCD Screen + Battery Pack for $369.99 ($418.09 after tax) from futureshop. the gopro website is selling it for $444.92 with shipping. Apply the US/CAN dol conversion rate of approx 1.0063 comes to $447.72. so that was a saving of $29.63.

oh well..
