just the consonants i guess.
abbreviation isn't an exact science though. like, look at bbq. it's a single word that's been abbreviated into 3 letters.

Most of what you named is not even bubble tea. Anyways I like the milk black tea with tapioca (original) and its honey variant.

I'm not really a fan of the regular milk teas. Just wondering, so the ones that I've listed that aren't bbt.. contain no tea?

I've tried making bbt at home with those powders and always use some green/black tea, maybe that's why it tastes a bit off.

Red bean sounds good, I'll try it next time.

Milk Tea, mmmmmmm.

If its a BBT, probably Lychee with jelly.

Curse my OAS, I can't consume fresh fruits so I'm a sad panda.

When did bubble tea gain traction in Canada and Toronto specifically? It seems 5-7 years ago to me. I'm sure theAsian community has been selling these for much longer but only really recent had they gain such popularity. Personally, I'm a real fan of exotic fruit drinks like Sour sop(sp?) drinks. Love ordering those with my Pho and Vietnamese cuisine. I don't get to those places much anymore but those kill any bubble tea I've had. Oh, the red bean drinks are also awesome. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_c_ZlWxwAGwg/TGbR5nKfygI/AAAAAAAAAHU/Q79yk2M19yk/s1600/DSC02940.JPG

Oh, man. If I were a rich man, I'd have one of those a day.. irrespective of any supposed health benefits.

Ever since the Taiwanese chains started opening up in the past few years around 4-5 years ago. Before that it was mostly Hong Kong mom and pop shops at Pacific Mall selling "bubble tea" which tastes nothing like bubble tea.

Taro, but only the fake powder kind I guess... I had it once where they used the real root rather than the powder that gives it that purple colour.. and I'm sure it was healthier but it didn't taste as good :D
