yeah, this friday....
i am mostly interested on the continuous AF on Live view and video, wondering if Canon just use some crappy contrast detection Nikon did with the D7000.
or if they manage to do Phase detection???

IT's at $889 at Aden on pre-order so about $1005 with taxes. That's for the body only!

Too much for an entry level camera ... also the T series is the most frequently updated lines among Canon DSLRs making it the most suspect for price drops.
T4i's biggest selling point seems to be autofocus when shooting but as we all know that AF is DSLRs is very slow. Even professional cinematographer don't use autofocus in Canon's C300 $16,000 camera.
I can see the appeal however on the kind of audience that Canon targets with the T4i

The T4i's liveview autofocus is miles above Nikon's.
