Just walked out of Staples with this power supply:

Much cheaper than at Best Buy ($99), Thrift King ($95). There are 4 power supplies between $50 and $75 on Newegg, but only the $75 one is 80+ certified and none are modular. I also took a look at ncix and directcanada and nobody seems to have anything that could power a gaming rig (minimum around 620w) that was also 80+ certified. As an added bonus, the Retail Plus one is also semi-modular for a pretty case.

Eh... i wouldnt buy a cheap PS for my rig.

I'd rather buy a reliable one like Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX PS.

PSU's, tires, shoes. 3 things I refuse to cheap out on. They all have one thing in common. I'm sure the PSU posted works fine, but, meh.

You may want to look for the UL code on the PSU to figure out who actually made it.

As far as price comparisons, NCIX has a 700W OCZ ModXStream Pro (80 Plus, modular)
$74.99 - $30 MIR = $44.99

I'm NOT saying OCZ is great or anything, but I'm guessing it is at least comparable to the Retail Plus unit.

I would return if you can, it is recommended to spend a bit more to get a reliable power supply from Corsair, Seasonic, XFX (also Seasonic) or Enermax. Power supply is not a good component to cheap out on. A bad power supply can fry your entire system. A good power supply can last for multiple builds and many many years.
