I need to get some new Macs for my kids. I have been on the apple.ca website, looking at their refurb "deals" - but I want clarification on whether they are actually deals or not. For example, there is a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Dual-core Intel i5 that is stated to be $1,059.00, with noted "savings" of $190.00, or 15% off.

To clarify, does this mean that it is savings from their "Refurbished" prices? Or is it savings from the "new" price? If someone could clarify that would be great.

Like everyone else, I do like saving money, but for 15% more I'd rather buy a new one (who wouldn't).

Its savings from their new prices. I've pruchased several things from the refurb site and been pleased every time. The product looks brand new, just comes in a generic carbboard box in lieu on the typical packaging.
