So few weeks back, one of the representatives from The Weed Man came knocking on my house door telling me that they are offering a free estimate of landscaping/gardening for the summer.

I already had a person doing it for me at the time so i refused, but the representative (who was like 15 year old boy) kept asking to sign up for a free estimate even after the refusal.

so i just gave him my cell phone number (and thank god i gave this number instead of my house number) so that he can finally leave my property.

Ever since then, ive been receiving calls about 2-3 times a day from 905-668-5166 and when i pick up no one answers, when i call back and no one picks up. This is f ridiculous.

My current cell phone plan doesn't include block incoming calls from specific number, and seems like theres nothing i can do to stop receiving these calls from The Weed Man.

What can I do to get rid of this?

Can i call the cops for this or is this something that can be resolved if i contact rogers customer service.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

If you didn't want their service, why give them your number?

From another website:

go to : weedman.ca...the calls come fm.1450 Hopkins St. Whitby , Ontario...on their site...under CONTACT you can email them and request that they STOP calling. I did, and also asked that they do not WRITE TO ME either. It worked...all calls stopped..and I got over 35-30 in about 2 weeks. Was very annoying! The guy hung up on me when he heard I was not interested...so that's why I wrote to report him! He is not helping the Co.'s Name for sure!

Not sure what phone your using but there are applications to block numbers. You might want to consider that for the time being.

it really was my fault for giving out my number but that boy clearly didn't care about anything else but to get some commission from signing up people. I felt bad for him since i remember having a similar summer job when i was around his age so I just gave him my cell number. If i have known that they will call me everyday for it, i wouldn't have done it.

Call blocking should be something offered for free from carriers, especially in extenuating circumstances. We once had a fax machine call us repeatedly (it was obviously on an auto redial) at our house, every 10 minutes or so for a day and a half. Bell wouldn't do anything about it and wanted us to pay a monthly fee to block the number. We tried looking up the number to no avail. Eventually we got to the point where we tracked down a fax machine, hooked it up and let the fax come through. There was enough information on the fax for us to contact them and tell them to stop. They were oblivious of course but it was ridiculous nonetheless.
