View Full Version : How do I disable the tips menu in Windows Live Messenger?

I don't see that option in the program. Every once in a while when I log on to MSN, the tips menu pops up. It's very annoying! Does anyone here know how to disable it?

Apatch (www.apatch.org) does that I think. At least I haven't seen it since doing the patch.

No. There used to be with MSN Messenger, but that's one of the "features" with WLM... along with the fact that a lot of the changes you might want to make are controlled by your Windows Live Profile, i.e. online rather than in the program itself. Honestly I would prefer MSN from 10 years ago, any day. That patch can also disable a few other annoyances (you can pick and choose), including the picture/video sharing thing.
