I am moving to Ontario soon and was wondering about the processes of getting an Ontario driver's license. I have a BC Novice license (which is equivalent to a G2). Has anyone exchanged a level 2 out of province license for a G2 license in Ontario? Do I have to have two years of driving experience within the last three years? And what exactly counts as driving experience? If anyone has gone through the process, please let me know.

I exchanged my N license for a G2. I have way longer than 24 months of driving experience. I think they only check when you got your N license (The issue date on your card) so if you do not have the necessary experience one thing you could do it wait until that date....

Oh okay, thanks. I have had my license for more than two years so I guess I should be okay.

Hahah yes I have and I definitely will not be buying a car (partially because of the insurance costs). I just want to have a valid license for the occasional car rental.
