Good day
I'm a total noob at overclocking so please bear with me you knowledgeable people who will take your time to answer me :-)

I'm trying to overclock my I7 3770k. I have a Notcua NH-D14 fan. So far, my temps are not a problem. I thought i had it stable at 4.5 GHz, but prime95 crashed after half an hour. Intel Burn test seemed fine.

In the Bios, my settings are as follows. I followed some guidance from several websites. I don't really understand why I have to put so much voltage for 4.5 GHz but anyway. The ones in Bold, I'm unsure about what they do.

Ratio : 45
Enabled : EIST / Intel Turbo Boost / Internal PLL Voltage
Disabled : Enhanced Turbo / Spread Spectrum
VDroop is at auto. (have some notion of what it is but fail to figure out what to put there. I have different %s there).
CPU Core Voltage : 1.27 (Keep raising that one, but for 4.5 GHz, I wonder if there is something else to bring stability).
CPU I/O Voltage : 1.15 (instead of auto, got that from a website, but unsure what to do with it. Seemed to bring some stability)
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.90 (was told that it increases stability)

Phase / C1E / C state are enabled. EUP 2013 disabled. These are all under "Eco" options. I would like my CPU, at idle, to fall to x16 multiplier as it does right now.

I am unsure are to what the next steps would be to make my system stable, or increase my O/C. First of all, I need to understand what to do to stabilize this first.

Thanks in advance.
