I have recently signed up for unblock-us. I have set it up on my computer by changing the DNS in control panel.
My question is that how do I tell which part of my traffic is going through their servers? I am concerned that about online banking, paying bills, and other important logins. I don't want this data to go through their servers.

So I was just thinking of resetting my laptop back to old settings, but set it up on my PS3. This way only PS3 traffic will go through their servers right? How will this affect online gaming? However using this method, I would not be able to watch US Netflix on my laptop, neither can my mom and my sister.

Second option is to set it up at the router level. I understand every device is connected to the router and so every device will be able to access US Netflix. so my question is that can my router direct all "regular" traffic through my ISP and just Netflix through unblock-us? Any one have a tutorial to do that?

And a noob question, how do I know I am on US Netflix?

Tunlr offers free DNS service like unblock-us

If you want to be safe then only setup this special DNS for certain US sites you want to watch in the router level.

For example, if you have DDWRT or Tomato firmware, you can setup DNSMasq...

+1 for tunlr. Definitely use dsnmasq to be on the safe side. The tunlr forum shows you how.

You'll know you're on US Netflix instantly if you've ever seen Canadian Netflix. Vastly different content, hence the reason for doing this in the first place.
