My mom recently came back from Hong Kong with an Iphone 4s. Since Hong Kong is all GSM, my first thought would be Rogers. But I don't know a lick about Iphones and was wondering if they use the same version of phone for Telus and Bell?

She is currently using Speakout and like only $100 a year (minimal use). Would it be possible to cut her SIM card down to work? Can you get data with an iphone and Speakout? Thanks all.

It should definitely work.

Thanks!

Is this a good plan for a light user? "Data plus messaging 20"

Frequencies that matter are HSPA 850/1900 mhz. The "4G". Bell/Telus/Rogers all use the same.

Rogers will fall back to GSM/Edge "3G", Bell/Telus CDMA I think? So in the city it ought not make any difference, but outside of 4G reception you can wonder. I ran a Rogers phone on Bell from some months without issue, but never pushed it.
