I wrote the exam in Montreal yesterday and actually found it pretty hard compared to the 2012 sample. I guessed a lot of questions (20-25). I am almost certain I didn't pass and am feeling really down about it. We have to wait now a whole month before getting our results. I think I will start studying for the Oct exam in the next few weeks, just to be 100% ready for this one.

The ones that wrote it in previous years, how did you feel after leaving the exam? Did you have time to finish everything? Did you guess lots of questions as well ?

I am petrified of not passing it the 2nd or 3rd time around...my dreams of becoming a CMA would be over. That's my biggest fear.

Whoa, don't feel so down. However, I strongly sugguest to consider taking October exam when you still have some materials memorized in your head. Did you "really" study sample exams (at least 2009 thru 2012)? Did you go all two MOCK exam sessions? If you did, you shouldn't be guessing 20-25 questions....

that's just my opinion. GL.

I have a friend that wrote the exam last year, and came out thinking "there's no way I got anywhere over 70%"...

He ended up getting 85% on the exam. I suspect there is a huge bellcurve for these exams... and especially when they're trying out a completely new format this year, it'll be more of a reason for them to curve the marks up a bit =/

Either way, if you don't end up passing, maybe you could try some of the studying methods that I did... Although I don't know my actual mark yet, I'm pretty confident I at least passed... *crossing fingers*
