some parts on the screen of my iPhone 4 have stopped working recently and my iPhone isn't that old. I'm still kind of an iPhone n00b so I googled it and confirmed that its not a software problem and also read that a screen replacement will fix the problem.
Does anyone have any input or experience on this? Will a replacement of the LCD screen fix the dead spots on my iPhone?

Dead Pixels.

If it's still under warranty (check apple.ca or Google iPhone Warranty Check), make an appointment with Genius Bar @ Apple Store and they will replace it (refurbished).

If not, than I don't know. Sorry. LOL

I agree with Bembol. They'll probably just chuck a new one at you without even glancing at it if it's within it's warranty. I've never met a resistant/ uncooperative Apple rep when it comes to defects. Don't try/ bother fixing it yourself, it would just be a huge waste of your time. Even if your phone isn't in warranty, give them a shout anyways- they just might replace it if you catch them on a good day.
