View Full Version : Ideas on affordable Laptop with HiRez display.

Looking to get a Laptop for lite business use. Not gaming.
Requirements.
-Must be an Intel CPU/Chipset
-Must be a high resolution display of about 1920x1080. Don't care about physical screen size.
-Upgradable to 8GB or more.
-As inexpensive as possible.

No such thing exists unless if you want a tablet (limited functionality).

Try out http://www.memoryexpress.com and search for 1920x1080 rez.
These two are the cheapest laptops at $1149...both are top rated Asus brands:

HP laptops are lower rated...this one is $670 (appears to be an error at Newegg....HP specs show as 1600x900):

Get an Asus Transformer Prime - it comes with a keyboard attachement, and a 10.1", 1280x800 screen.

Generally, laptops with 1080p resolution screens run over $1,000.
To find one under $500 would likely be a pricing error.

Hp envy 15 with the 1080p screen. Got mine for 900 off ebay. Retail here I think they're still over 1k
