The skin in my kidney area has been cooler than the rest of my body for decades. How cool? Cooler than just about every surface in the room. Just a few inches away from the area and my skin in normal temperature.

My doctor never said anything about it and I have not been complaining about it. I guess I will ask again when I go next.

Anyone else with cold kidneys?

How much colder?
Have you ever taken the temp?

I doubt it is your kidneys that are cold - your whole core temp should be the same.

^^^good observation. I used my CTC IR temp reader.

The temperature of my skin:
rest of torso = 94F / 34.4C
kidney = 88F / 31.1C

I don't feel uncomfortably hot or cold right now.

Probably poor blood circulation in the skin - that is all it is - more than likely.
