I'm selling a rug on Kijiji, what should I price it at?

It's an acrylic Persian rug with dimensions of 4'11" X 8'2". I can't really find any other acrylic rugs on Kijiji so it's hard to compare in price. It's in good condition.

I've found that there is a really high mark up on Persian rugs so it's very easy to haggle on a new one, I've also found that if they're not in perfect conditioin that would most likely need a cleaning which is very expensive so used ones don't sell for much. When you said good condition, there there is either something cosmetic wrong with it or it needs a cleaning since you didn't use the term very good or almost new condition which will bring down the value.

I would advertise a price you're comfortable with since design is also going to be a large factor and use the term....."or best offer" and go from there.

Unless it is a valuable rug ... I'd doubt anyone would pay more than 10%-25% of retail/sale price. Cleaning the rug is a hassle. (And I would not use a rug unless it was CLEANed or came from a relative whom I knew was VERY clean.)

1) You are steam cleaning the house already so the extra rug is fine.
2) Professional steam cleaning the house rugs ... they charge $15-$25 (?) per area rug.
3) Drop it off at a professional rug cleaning place .. $50?

Personally, I donate things like that to goodwill. (assuming the rug is clean and well taken care off.)

at most 15 bucks...it is acrylic....tiny...if you deliver, it might get you 10 bucks more...
