Hey,
What is the earliest memory that you have from your childhood. I had this flashback at work today of someone breaking into my childhood home and stealing the front window of my dad's car. Called my parents after work and it turns out that it did happen like I just remember and I was about 30 months.
Anyone have flashbacks to something that happened while you were a baby or toddler? I tried to have more flashbacks today but that was the only one... I think it had something to do with me looking at cars I am looking to buy and I looked at a land rover (my dad's car that was robbed was a land rover).

Yes. I described to my mom just last month about how I remember this orange slide and being in a glass room with some other kids while I had to wait (for what seemed like hours) for her and didnt like it. My mom was amazed as she remembered those days from when she used to workout and dropped me off at the kids daycare while she exercised. I was only around 1.5 years old. I also remember my mom putting a blanket over my crib to create a "fort" for me (which I loved). Again less than 2 years old. Then I remember learning to ride a bike by my sister and beating mario bros (the first one) when I was 3. Memories get better from that point on, but I'm confused in my mind to how old I was for each, until Maybe 12 years old, where I remember almost everything.

That's pretty remarkable that you still remember those things. Are you sure those aren't things you saw in pictures or your mom mentioned to you? 30 months is about as far as my memory goes.

My earliest memory is of me sitting in the window seat of an airplane, opening and closing the window repeatedly and a mean 60 year old european man yelling at me for doing so.
Checked with my parents and apparently it wa a swiss air flight that i took when I was 3 years old. Two decades later, I'm still constantly traveling :( However, this time I'm the mean old man.

I remember going up the elevator in the hospital heading to my tonsillectomy when I was 3. No other memories until many years later.

Of course, opening and closing the window repeatedly on an airplane is extremely annoying, especially on Continental flight.

Oh, I agree. that kind of behavior really bugs me now. In the case of children I alert their parents immediately.

My earliest is probably from age 2. I can vividly picture the building we lived in at the time, and I distinctly remember cracking my head open on the coffee table as well as snippets of being in the hospital for stitches. Most of my other memories are from about age 4 and up.

My earliest memory is in kindergaten where I got in trouble. Teacher had left the room and everyone was doing their own thing. I was playing with some kitchen stuff when another kid(s) start throwing their toys at me and my friends in teh area. So I picked up one of those plastic eggs that came apart and threw it just as teh teacher entered the room.

I have a few random memories from my childhood, but I don't remember which came first:
- I *think* visiting the hospital when my sisters were born
- and falling down the stairs at my grand parents' place

I definitely remember when I was in daycare and just before that. I remember the way the food tasted. It is easier to remember smells and flavours.
Sometimes I'll be with my sister and say that something smells or tastes like "x" from back in the day and her face will light up and she tells me it definitely does.
I'm sure as a kid, you can all remember the old people smell or your cool uncle's cologne.

My mom pushed me to the end of the driveway in my carriage, and lots of neighbors started looking in at me. I have no idea how old I was.
Lot of memories of walking to nursery school with my mom when I was around 4 or so. They used to give us a colored mug with milk in it. We would look around to see who had the same color mug and start carrying on and screaming about it. Didnt take much to amuse us obviously.
I remember quite a bit, and thinking back, I may have been an annoying little brat!:cheesygri

Sitting in a movie theatre and pointing to the screen and saying "dinosaurs!" to my Mom. I think I'm about 3. Nothing vivid until I hit 5 or so other than a bad time in hospital where I was pleading with my parents to take me home. Nurses were giving me injections frequently to help me overcome pneumonia which could have killed me...
Unpleasant things seem easier for me to remember about early childhood...
