We're looking for a family friendly camping grounds/cottage north of the 401 (we live in Woodbridge) with activities for the kids and most importantly good fishing (boat rental is a plus+). We're looking for reservation sometime in July. I know were cutting it a little close, our initial plans were to go on a cruise but decided to go camping instead. We're looking for suggestions to help narrow down the list, thanks in advance. :)

i just came back from an overnight trip to tobermory (stayed a night in sauble beach and drove the rest the next morning). i don't know what the rules are for fishing in national parks (fathom five and bruce peninsula), but i figure it would be a wonderful boating experience.

Earl Rowe in Alliston. probably only about 30min up north from you.
there's a lake that you can take the boat and fish.
and since alliston downtown is only 2 min away, you can do all the food shopping after you set up the tents and settle in. there's mcd's, timmy's and a bunch of stores 2 min away too. when i went there, i felt like i was cheating, because of all the stuff just outside the camping grounds along with having 3G access and all. but it's a nice site. when we went, the conservation officers came and did a little presentation and although we didn't fish, we rented a boat and paddled around.
