Hi There,
Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy Reese's Creamy PB? I just came back from Miami, and I bought 3 jars of this, and I'm running out. This is probably the best PB I've ever had....I didn't find it in Buffalo....can anyone help?

I have never seen this anywhere in New York State. Closest place I have seen/bought it at is Meijer in Michigan.

That is more than $30 per kilogram for Reeses!
I'm buying Skippy at Foodland (Sobey's group) for $4/kg this weekend.
It appears as if the year-long spike in pb prices may be over, with a new crop coming in.

So I picked some of this up. It sucks. Tastes just like regular peanut butter. I was thinking there would be some chocolatey flavour to it or at least taste like the peanut butter that is in side a Reeses cup, but no it tastes like any other peanut butter. Save your money.

The peanuT butter doesn't taste like the inside of a Reese's cup at all?

You honestly believed it would taste like a reeses cup ? How can it, a reeses cup is chocolate and peanut butter and salt combined. This is just peanut butter it says right on the package, peanut butter.

Then WTH is the point of this thread? To get plain peanut butter? Why brand it Reese's? Reese's is synonymous with chocolate. And it is the USA. Why wouldn't they have combined the flavours to have chocolate flavoured peanut butter? They have jam and peanut butter in the same jar... Why pay the extra money for regular peanut butter? This is all that tastes like. Regular peanut butter, waste of money.

The label in post #1 clearly says peanut butter. Not pb and jam, marshmallow, chocolate, caramel, or any other concoction. If you want something like the photo, stick with Skippy, Jif or even Kraft. The OP has been sold a bill of goods and likes it, but you have no reason in any of these posts to expect anything other than peanut butter.

+1 if it doesn't taste like reeses then it's a waste of money.

Although this is true, there was an implication that this stood out from any other peanut butter, and since the reference to Reese's I assumed there was more to this than just regular peanut butter. It tastes like anything I can get at No Frills so I assumed there was something more to it, ie, chocolate and peanut butter which is what Reese's is known for. Why the effort to track down peanut butter from another country?

I know Longo's carries it, they have had this for a long time its where the rest of the peanut butter, jams etc are. I am not positive but I think I may have seen it in Walmart too, where they keep the natural food.

I am curious to try this peanut butter as well...if it tastes like the peanut butter INSIDE the Reese's peanut butter cup, that would be pretty good I think....but you have already confirmed it doesn't....which is kind of weird (I would guess it is the same peanut butter inside the Reese cups)...
Does it taste like Skippy? Jiffy?

Yeah, don't waste your money. Take any brand name peanut butter in Canada and slap the Reese's label on it and you wouldn't know the difference. The aroma, if you put your nostril close enough, 'sort of' smells like the Reese's stuff (if you use your imagination), but tastes like any run-of-the-mill PB on the market. I bought 2 - for my cousin and I - @ a Publix in Florida.

So it is just regular PB with Reese marketing? Dammit, got me all hyper about it too, till I read the entire thread. Gonna go thank the guy who shared the taste of it now.

Resurrecting a dead thread, but I can't let the last little bit of Reese's hate slide. Blind tasted Kraft, Skippy, PC and Reese and picked Reese as the tastiest every time.
Every peanut butter tastes slightly different, its all about the mixture of oil, molasses, salt, etc.
If they didn't all taste different everyone would buy no-name PB.... Does it taste like peanut butter? Well of course, I'd sure hope it does. It just tastes like tastier peanut butter to me based on the ones I've compared it to. (though I sure want to try that "The heat is on" PB WildWolf posted!)
Used to be able to buy it in Vegas, brought an entire caseload back one time (and caused a fun conversation with the border guards). It's available in Florida but I've never been close to a store that sells it. Sadly down to my last 4 jars. Glad to hear some people have spotted it in Ontario, I didn't think it would ever make it into "eng/fre labelling requirement" land

Ok, I totally have to disagree with you on this... If you compare it to Krafts, Skippy, or even Peter Pan....Reese's is saltier and sweeter. For me, its the salty taste that gets me.

For the record....this does not taste the like insides of a Peanut Butter Cup. This peanut butter is just peanut butter....but it is saltier, sweeter and creamier than what is offered here in Canada.

Peanut butter is pretty simple stuff. Buy pure peanut butter (or make your own), and add whatever the hell you want to it. Spicy? Add hot sauce. Sweet? Add honey. Maple? Chocolate? etc.? Add and mix.
If you want it to taste like the inside of a peanut butter cup, add icing sugar and salt.

Makes sense, then again there is a book that has most of the well known snack foods recipes to make your own. A little salt, people not 8 table spoons !
