I always kinda wondered about this...
http://www.torontosun.com/2012/06/20/450-pound-man-is-100-pounds-of-scrotum
One thing I don't get is why he waited so long? It is like a thing that grew in proportion to the rest of him and he decided it was finally enough?
It says they have to remove his other parts to remove the scrotum...

The question here is "would you give up your seat on the bus so this guy could rest his nuts? "

Sounds like he has a fear of surgery.
He insists it's the fear of these procedures that's holding him back

Why did he wait till it got so huge? Well I guess he must have made the guinness book of world records for having the biggest sac!
Seriously, the dude masterbated so much until this happened, sad really.

Yes I would give up my seat on the bus for him.
When I was a child my father had a medical with some rather interesting pictures. One was of a group of men with scrotums so big you could not see their penises. There were from a tribe in S. America (I think) and were infested with a worm which generally lives in another species - but when in the human male would end up "down there."
Nasty.

Actually there is a video that's been around since the early days of the Internet. It has some dude with balls bigger than this guy's. At one point he tries to walk up some steps but couldn't. So his buddy bends down and helps lift his balls up the steps. Now that's what you call a bro.

This guy was on Howard Stern about a year ago. He claims to have injured them by sitting on them or something. He has been to doctors since they started to enlarge but nobody knew what to do, I guess until now.

Ya they were talking about this guy recently and he was offered some super expensive surgery for free but he turned it down because if he gets it removed he's afraid he won't be famous anymore or some BS like that.

I think in cases like this people with strange conditions probably let it go at first and are eventually too embarrassed or scared to do anything about it. It is not until things get completely out of hand that they get attention and by then someone like this are almost used to living with the condition. He is probably not rational and that's understandable to a degree as he is worried about death or losing some or part of his genitals. What he doesn't see is that in his current state he is probably much worse off than if he did lose some. I feel for the guy, none of us would ever want this to happen to us. Its too sad to joke about.

The surgery doesn't exactly look elective at this point. At what point can he just go to the ER and have it booked under Obamacare?

Ball jokes are hard to resist for most.
Not making a joke to be mean at all and I do feel bad for the guy....the guy went on Howard Stern for goodness sake.
Trying to find some humor in it, not trying to be mean.
Hopefully the guy gets it fixed......he will joke about it after getting it fixed if he doesn't already.

I read the article, and it says he's afraid that if he goes through with the surgery, they may have to take his 'man hood' too. Would YOU allow them to cut your johnson off?

Inappropriate thread
How so? This is news that was reported in a legitimate (more or less) newspaper. It's possible that some of the followup comments may be inappropriate, but seeing as how you had the first reply, how would you know for sure?
Just because you don't approve of the subject matter doesn't automatically make it inappropriate for discussion.

I dunno...you kinda have to wonder how he can find it amongst the roughage and also what he's worried about, since he apparently can't have sex as it is... it would be kinda like riding one of those space hoppers...

Guys, please keep discussion focused on the scrotal region, and let's not have this devolve into a juvenile discussion about the rising costs of health care. If this thread goes in that direction, it will be locked and offenders will be banned.

I agree with what you are saying - but are you okay?
Yes there are men and women who refuse certain types of surgery because of the psychological struggle.
It says the poor man is fearful because the surgeons cannot guarantee where the surgery will end.

You saw the title of the thread. Were you expecting some sort of deep philosophical discussion about how this impacts the poor victim, and how paradoxically his giant genitalia, usually a symbol of male vitality and strength, are literally dragging him down?
This is RFD, dammit. In the olden days, someone would have tied lazy union workers, tipping, and Asians into this somehow, as well as a dozen nasty youtube videos.

Whoa - Balls to the walls! Seriously, I wonder how he hasn't managed to rip them off by accident in all this time. I'm pretty sure any normal man with a 100 pound weight tied to his scrotum would likely get them separated just by going down the stairs the wrong way.

He also shot a segment for TLC.

He is also afraid he might not make it through the surgery. Other health problems (co-morbidities: asthma, high blood pressure, etc.) can play key roles, especially in over weight individuals. I have first hand experience having two surgeries and being significantly heavier than this chap. Although I did not have the same pre-occupations as he does, nor the same medical problem.
I personally hope something can be done to help him while leaving his manhood in tact (or as best as it could be). I feel extremely sympathetic for him.
