Heard on the news today that the World's Biggest Bookstore (owned by Chapters/Indigo) just north of Yonge/Dundas is closing down at the end of December when their lease expires. I am curious what will go in there (maybe a condo?)...
Anyway, share your memories, discuss, etc.
I remember going on school trips there when I was younger. We went to Mr. Greenjeans in the Eaton Centre for dinner afterwards.
The store was really amazing in the old days before "Chapters" existed and there were just the little "Coles" stores in the malls.
EDIT: Ok, the above was based on information from Newstalk 1010's website. Turns out there is more to this story than they reported on the news and on their website.

Sounds like a negotiation technique by Indigo in terms of renewing the lease. Could backfire on them though since it sounds like a lot of other big box retailers are interested in the space. This article also says that their lease runs until the end of 2013!
