Me and a group of buddies are planning to go camping the weekend after the long weekend. Its at Sibbald point. Right now we have 10 people going (2 full cars) and I've booked 2 campsites.
Since each campsite can support up to 6 people, I was wondering if there is any way I can cancel my second campsite and have one campsite for 10 people? Do the rangers come often and check? what about the signin/signout problem? If we are behaving and not too loud, do you think they will care?

From my experience, they'll check for sure, and if you guys are too loud, especially late at night, people ***** and complain. I'd stick with 2 camp sites...how much money could you be saving lol.

Well if there's 10 people that's $17.00 a person for the two sites. I'd be happy forking out 17-20 bucks to ensure I have a good time than be cheap and possibly get kicked out or in trouble.

Fixed.
Just get the two campsites. There's nothing stopping you from spending most of your time getting together in one of them, but the rangers might get a little ticked if you're all crammed in there overnight.

I've decided to keep the second one. I just also found out that they do not have boat rentals. i want to rent a kayak. Any one know of a good place?

Campsites also often limit one vehicle and 1 tent in each spot.

Not sure if you've gone already but there are a few factors at play.
Part of it depends on which park you go to. I've been to some where there were a lot of cops/rangers doing patrols and others where I didn't see a single cop the whole trip.
Time of year is also important. If you're going on or around the long weekend, there will probably be more patrols.
Like others have mentioned, how your group behaves is probably the most important issue. Stay quiet and respectful so even if you do get caught you lessen your chances of getting kicked out.
And lastly, the campsite itself might be a factor. If your site is right near the road, cops may be able to easily see you guys. If your site is a little deeper into the woods, that may be helpful for you. Also, it's possible to position your vehicles in a way that could help conceal the number of people (not that I recommend breaking the rules, wink wink).
Have fun!
