All my life I had never paid tax on top of tax!
I bought the voucher for GONE SAILING ADVENTURES from living social. The voucher is supposed to have $110 value as stated on the living social website. When I try to redeem it on the merchant website, it can only be redeemed as $103.67. When I called livingsocial to ask, they claim the extra portion is tax!? which the fine print had stated tax is extra. I have to pay the extra $6.33 myself on paypal. When I was doing that, I noticed there is extra tax charge on top of the $6.33!?!? What is tax on tax!? Other than pointing out the fine print for tax, Livingsocial refuse to give a response on that.
Compare with all the other deal websites I used, (groupon, dealfind, etc). Livingsocial has the worst customer service, they don't always reply to email. And the customer service rep had horrible attitude on the phone! I would never use livingsocial again...
