Hi,
So I got an email from my sister today who left for her vacation yesterday night saying that she got her first speeding ticket earlier in the day while out shopping for supplies for her vacation trip. I don't know the details but all she mentioned was that she was caught speeding and didn't mention how much over. I'm pretty sure it was not over 50kmph. Anway, in the email she asked if she should contact one of those X Coppers places when she gets back hoping that they can somehow represent her and work their magic to make this ticket disappear without affecting her driving records which can cause her premiums to go up. She stated that she is willing to pay a premium service fee if need be.
Now my question is, is this even possible for places like X Copper or any traffic service place to make her speeding ticket *disappear?* I guess for other tickets, these places can work their magic but I don't see how they can help her weasel her way out of this one. Speeding is speeding and if people can pay a fee to get out of it, wouldn't everyone be doing it so that their insurance wouldn't go up? My thinking is having her go represent her self and perhaps take a negotiation from the prosecutor with no points and pay the smaller fine. I guess by doing that, she will be found guilty and her insurance affected. Any comments or suggestions?
