Hi,

So I got an email from my sister today who left for her vacation yesterday night saying that she got her first speeding ticket earlier in the day while out shopping for supplies for her vacation trip. I don't know the details but all she mentioned was that she was caught speeding and didn't mention how much over. I'm pretty sure it was not over 50kmph. Anway, in the email she asked if she should contact one of those X Coppers places when she gets back hoping that they can somehow represent her and work their magic to make this ticket disappear without affecting her driving records which can cause her premiums to go up. She stated that she is willing to pay a premium service fee if need be.

Now my question is, is this even possible for places like X Copper or any traffic service place to make her speeding ticket *disappear?* I guess for other tickets, these places can work their magic but I don't see how they can help her weasel her way out of this one. Speeding is speeding and if people can pay a fee to get out of it, wouldn't everyone be doing it so that their insurance wouldn't go up? My thinking is having her go represent her self and perhaps take a negotiation from the prosecutor with no points and pay the smaller fine. I guess by doing that, she will be found guilty and her insurance affected. Any comments or suggestions?

Just tell her to take it to court herself, places like xcopper will do nothing and take a lot of $ from her.
(isn't worth it)

Xcoppers and thenlike will simply get it knocked down to more manageable fines if i understand it correctly. you dont want a conviction whicb is what the insurers care about not that you were 10 or 100 kver rhe limit.

Those places will give you an opinion upon contacted them and telling them what happened but unless she was completely innocent, they will knock it down and that's it. You're sister can do just as well by representing herself. The reality is, unless the cop doesn't show up, it won't "dissapear", she will pay a fine, lose no points and her insurance will go up.

Read every single page of Djino's thread (sticky - http://forums.redflagdeals.com/ask-me-anything-about-fighting-your-traffic-ticket-speeding-parking-etc-1178211/) and once you've read it reply with the same info as below or more details on the actual day and how she got the ticket. Also don't go to XCopper or any of them Djino is better then their services and he is offering his for free!! Xcopper will charge you if they even reduce your fine by 10 dollars and then charge you their fee of x dollars (end of the day financial your worse off). If you can find a place that considers a win as a drop of the ticket then thats amazing but reduced fine should not be a win as you can walk into court plead your case and almost 100% of the time the Judge will reduce your fine. Best option IMO is djino's thread.

Do not go with x-copper or places like that. They'll just negotiate a lower fine. You can do that yourself just by showing up.

Also, a conviction is a conviction. Points don't matter when it comes to insurance.

If you want real representation and live near GTA, contact charged.ca . They are much more expensive and will not guarantee anything but if there's any chance of getting out of the ticket they will find a way.
