You can try calling some of the HVAC companies in your area but if they do rent you will most likely have to sign a contract which will lock you in for at least 5 years with a possible buy out or you will have to carry the contract for the term. If you do carry it for the term be prepared to pay at least three times the present value of the A/C cost. In other words, you'll end up paying a set cost to purchase now or at least 3-5 times that price in the long run which equates to many thousands more.
You would be better off taking out a loan and purchasing it outright now, it would cost you much less in the long run if you're making a fair payment plan.

Buying is cheaper... if you can't afford one, another option is a window or portable air conditioner, those are very cheap.

Im actually in the market to purchase one and I called up a bunch of companies for quotes. One fairly large company offered to let me rent one and said they had that option. I didnt think anyone would rent AC's but if your situation dictates a rental then PM me for the company name (not sure if Im allowed to post the name here).

I know that buying is cheaper but I am not planning to stay in this house for a long period of time. I want to sell it in two years max, so there is no point buy it.

You should be pretty careful on the terms of the rental agreement and consider how it could effect resale. If you personally sign on for a contract of more than two years then going to be paying regardless of whether you're in the house. If you sign and agreement like a water heater and the next own has to assume the payments it may cause the buyer to adjust their price.
How much is a typical rental?
