I was planning to renew my membership and accidentally I went to Costco.com instead of Costco.ca.
Price for Executive membership is $110 plus taxes in Canada which is $123.20 (BC) and $110 in US only.
Didn't know it was cheaper down south. Just FYI
Thanks

How is $110 cheaper than $110. What am I missing? Through the currency conversion?

There are no taxes in Washington State whereas you pay taxes here in BC. Basically you save on tax.

This is incorrect. The sales tax for Washington State has a base-rate of 6.5%, plus an additional local rate, for various areas. Bellingham's rate is 2.2% for a total of 8.7%. You can read about this information here (http://dor.wa.gov/docs/forms/ExcsTx/LocSalUseTx/LocalSlsUseFlyer_Quarterly.pdf).

Maybe costco memberships aren't taxable in Washington state? Or does the price already include tax?

Thanks for this post. For some reason I always put my costco renewal on my to-do list before heading to fl for part of the winter. Fl has 6% sales tax, and this is not a goods & SERVICES tax (although some services are taxed...alot of them are not). So you might have saved me $15/yr! ;)

If you read the terms on costco.com it clearly states: "Note: Gold Star Membership fees are for U.S. residents only. Contact to inquire about membership fees in other countries." This goes for Executive memberships too.
edit: unless you've got an address in FL...

I can confirm this as I went to US today and renewed my Executive membership. They didn't charge me any taxes just $110 only.
Thanks

If you do it in person you don't need to be a US Resident. At border Costco's like Bellingham they encourage it. When the dollar is around par they also advertise "Canadians renew here, save the tax".
WA Sales Tax does not apply to Costco Memberships.
