First off I'm talking about the Reserve = meaning you do not have to go to war overseas unless you voluntarily do so.

I have some questions if anyone has done it or has info please post I will PM you after.

Feel free to toss me a PM with any questions. My brother's been in the reserves for quite some time now, I can get some answers for you from him.

I have been in the military for 22 years; 6 Reserve and 16 Regular. If you have questions I can try and answer them for you. As for education; there are various education plans that the military offer for serving members but unless you are released medically, they don't send you to school upon release.

As a reservist, if you are considering to go for post-secondary education, the military will pay a portion of your tuition each year until you graduate (also providing that you parade with your unit once a week for a few hours and/or participate in a few weekend exercises).

You do not have to pay back anything once you finish school and at the same time, you are also paid when you're working. Great part-time job while in school!
