Looks pretty awesome. I hope the AMG version drives and handles like a GTI.

$30k base USD, which probably translates to $39k base CDN, then add destination and taxes, and it'll be $50k woooooo

I want more hot hatches...!

I've heard rumors of an Infiniti spin off to slot in below the G.

Front looks nice but I wonder how this stacks up to the A3. If there is a NA launch, I am sure they'll have competitive prices with that off the A3 no?

Very sexy look, but what's up with that "you need a coffee brake" system. How does *it* know why I want a coffee?

They have needles on the steering wheel. It checks your blood caffeine level.

Came in expecting not to like it since I pictured a Merc Hatchback.... but this thins is wicked looking. Can we have a Diesel version (didnt think so)

Pretty.

Can't wait to drive one. Hopefully will have aggressive lease rates and a high residual. I wonder how the dual-clutch gearbox compares with VW'S DSG. I was blown away by how ridiculously fast the DSG box shifts; if the Benz's comes close - I'd be happy XD

Oh, and diesel for our shores? Diesel AWD 6MT or 7DCT would be a dream =) Or the 1.8 turbo 4 that comes in the C250....

Impressive, I love it! Put this on my list with...

C350 Coupe
GLK350

Since they changed the C-Class, I've been eyeing Mercesdes but last time my family/friends told be to avoid Domestic I didn't listen and paid for it. They all keep staying stick with Japanese.

Anyone else thing that the touch screen sticking out of the dash is pretty ugly though? The car otherwise looks really nice and sleek.

Looks like if someone would just put a aftermarket gps and attach it like that.

Car does look nice. If it becomes a real competitor (engine/performance wise) to the A3 I think Mercedes will have a hit.

They need something in the lower end to still attract younger buyers.

Go see the new f30 328i. Same pop up display. If it's good enough for BMW, it's good enough for anyone else.

Totally different. The BMW retracts and is built into the dash. While the A class looks like it was stuck on after the dash was built.

No it does not. The BMW display does not retract or move. It actually looks like BMW found the first flat surface on the dash and super-glued it there. If you ever have a chance to sit inside one and play with it, you'll notice it is quite flimsy and cheap. I noted this at BMW's display at the auto show and all the BMW reps ran away.

the screen sticks out of the top of the instrument panel much like a retractable one would—only it doesn’t retract.

the 3’s new freestanding center display doesn’t retract, and it matches the surrounding landscape about as well as the screen in a desert drive-in theater.

If they price this thing right, it will sell like hot cakes. Every lg will have this for sure.

I personally would seriously consider it if it came in diesel...hell diesel would make me consider a lot of cars.

BMW interiors aren't exactly a pinnacle of design. I think they look like crap compared to Audis imo.

For the money, a Focus St will probably blow it out of the water. Of course you don't get to ride in a Mercedes-Benz, so you must make amends :D
