So I ordered Teksavvy's 18Mb/512kb service last week (Jun. 18), technician arrived on the 25th to activate the service. The lights on my Motorola SB6120 are all solid but the Internet never worked at all even after activation. No websites load at all (plugging the modem directly to my Macbook or through the router).
From what I've read on here, it's a DHCP problem (IP address is 169.xx).
For about four days now Teksavvy's technical support team hasn't helped me, Rogers hasn't helped, etc. Anyone know how this problem can be fixed since it seems my ISP doesn't know how to fix it?

first off it's not dhcp.
your getting an ip. so your dhcp is working fine.
the problem lies with rogers at their headend.
your modem mac address for some reason is not whitelisted...in customer service and phone tech call center terms. this means...modem not activated...provisioned properly.
this is a problem at rogers end. not tsi. a good place to start would be to see what modem firmware version you have on your modem and check it against the modem firmware approved by rogers.
if you have something different you should ask tsi to open a ticket with rogers to push the modem firmware update to your modem.
if this is not the issue the only thing tsi can do is open a ticket with rogers for incomplete modem provisioning. a good thing to do would be to check the sticker on your modem and write down the mac address # and make sure it matches your tsi order mac address listed.

The modem MAC address matches my Teksavvy bill fine.

You could try asking them via DSLReports.com. I'm going to be ordering the same service soon, hope there are no problems.
