Hello everybody,
My dad (don't really use lots, but still needs it nonetheless) and my sister (BB Bold. Uses email and msgs mostly) are under a family plan that looks like below:
Shared Plan
150 Shared Weekday Minutes
Unlimited Eve & Wknd Minutes
Included with My Plan
Call Fwd/Transfer Pay Per Use
Detailed Billing
Personal Email On BlackBerry
Unlimited Picture & Video Msgs
Unlimited Text Messages
Between Us Calling
It is about $93 every month.
Is this too much for the features above?

Hi,
So, are these family cell plans part of a communication/entertainment package from Rogers? Meaning even if it's a bigger package than you're able to use, you're stuck with it. This family plan is the the best value for your needs if a combination of smaller plans works out to the same price as this one.

that looks like an older fam plan. i would ask to switch to one of the newer ones. much more value for dollar in the new ones.

$46.50/month for each user.
For that price, you should be able to find better options, if you were to split the plan to two individual lines. They'll both get more minutes, caller id/voicemail...
Your dad can probably save close to $15/month on his plan.
Your sister's price will likely remain unchanged as she has the Social networking add-on.

I decided not to change on my family's plan for the moment. Basically Rogers rep couldn't offer me anything worthy after 40 min talk on the phone. My primary goal was to combine all 3 of our lines into one account. I get some discounts and credits on my voice/data plan. And without any credits, combining all 3 actually ends up being more expensive.

Take a look at Virgin's talk/text plans. 2x $25 plans + 1x $35 plan, mypeeps calling between members, and you'll get more then you are getting now, for cheaper. Plus there's a promo right now for 10% off your entire bill for talk/text plans. Flex data is included should you really need data.
