Looks like the same display panel and driving electronics on both, with the addition of Smart TV capabilities. Is the Smart V functionality worth $150 to you? With products like the WDTV going for under $90 I would say no, unless you like having everything integrated in to the set.

Smart TV is ok if it is free. $150 you enter cheap android tablet territory and that is a lot better if you do intend to surf. <$100 you can get WDTV Live for Netflix.

When I bought the LG 3D 55" LED package from Costco which included a 3D Blu-ray player with network apps...the usability was a big joke and I ended up returning everything to Costco but bought the same 3D TV from BB and saved $300.

If you get LG, you should consider the 3D version...3D is a fad but still cool and certainly nice to have.

Here is the price benchmark :

LG 55LW5000+bonus for $999 that included
55" 3D LED
3 3D Blu-ray movies
4+5 passive 3D glasses
