thats a VERY bad idea...
personal documents like that should be report as lost and be replaced as soon as possible
but openning a bank account is not going to help you get your G1
if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? did you move here from another country?

I'm not sure what your expectations are asking these questions. MTO website is very succinct in describing what proof you need to bring. I don't believe there's any way around this.

Sounds a lot like somebody is too lazy to do simple things, replace your missing/lost documents and then life will be good.

1. Assuming you did actually lose your existing documents, report them as lost and replace them NOW. No, seriously. Stop reading this and make the phone calls. Go on now. Why are you still reading this?
2. Why do you need a G1 to open a bank account? Do you not have a Photo Health Card?
3. No, there's no way around the requirements to get your G1.

You don't need your landed paper for a pr card reissue. You can order a reprint of your landed paper. Go to the website and download the forms. They can probably rush it if you pay extra. Without these documents you are severely restricted. You also don't need a license to open a bank account. They should merely ask you for photo Id and maybe proof of employment if you're new.
You're wasting your time on these forums. Get those forms submitted.
