The Bay has some quality glasses... and I've also found some great prices on Ridel wine glasses at Home Sense, have also bought some nice crystal high ball glasses and port glasses there too.

I buy all my glassware at restaurant suppliers.
Granted... most don't sell anything under a case, but sometimes they do sell by the piece.
If they're good enough for restaurant use, they'll be sure to survive my household use.

Surprisingly, the LCBO carries some nice stuff too....at a very reasonable price...
I picked up a set of 6 Canadian Whiskey glasses....good quality glass, thick and sturdy....$20 for the 6...
Here is the link, unfortunately no pic:

I think they also carry an assortment of wine and beer glasses as well....

Reidel is well known. You can get them cheap at Winners or at Home Outfitters/ The Bay on sale.
The owner of Reidel calls them a "loudspeaker for wine".

Garage sales. Seriously.
Bought two gorgeous scotch glasses from the Great Glebe Garage sale in Ottawa for $2. They're not cheapy glasses either.

Bowrings carries some good quality glasses. Do you have a Mikassa store in your area? they have very nice glasses.
Everyday glasses and ones for friends who have trouble holding on to glaases get the ones from Ikea.

If you want to get some good quality Crown Royal glasses, the LCBO is offering a free Crown Royal glass with purchase of a 26oz bottle of Crown Royal - that's how I got my set of 12!

Thanks for all the ideas guys. Ill look into all of them. Im specifically interested in glasses for sitting around and having a whiskey (sour or old fashioned or just by itself) with friends/coworkers. Im more worried about style and quality than price.
Also i am located in Alberta but i dont mind ordering online if you have a place that you can recommend.

I like Pina Colada cocktail glasses. You can check allianceonline.com. There you will get various types of drinking glasses.
