This is the original version manufactured by Samsung which carries a 3-year warranty. This is probably the coolest and quietest hard drive out there. In idle, I usually see temperatures around 28c and under load, up to 30/31c (WD drives usually run a couple of degrees higher and Seagate drives more than this).
The new version is a rebadged Seagate (and only carries a 1-year warranty).
There are *NO* bad sectors on the drive and SMART health is 100%. Drive will be zeroed before you pick it up. Warranty is valid until April 2014 (just under 22 months).
Pick up from the Lawrence West/Allen Road (Yorkdale) area in Toronto.
$100 and it's yours. Although the drive is used, it still has a warranty that's close to double that of the "newer" Samsung/Seagate drives and almost equal to Western Digital's.
