Hi all,

I got a flyer in the mail about a company called Epsiton (http://www.epsitoncommunications.com) offering unlimited DSL plans:
6 Mbps for $29.95
12 Mbps for $39.95
25 Mbps for $49.95

I currently have a 6 Mbps, 100 MB cap plan for $29.95 with a different provider and I would be happy to switch. Has anyone here has had experience with them? are they legit? reliable? is there any catch?

Thank you.

I think this is a company that started out of McMaster University. Check this out:

Definitely a start up by some hip entrepreneurs :D

Hey, thanks for taking interest in our Unlimited Internet Service. I am so excited and grateful that you all have taken to our new marketing program and seen our flyers in the mail. I assure you, this is not a scam.

We are an authorized Bell reseller, for lack of better explanation, so our DSL service runs through their lines, with the same reliability and quality of service, yet without the huge bill for High Speed Unlimited action. We offer three standard speeds, as you've seen on the site and on our flyer, but we've also been able to leverage some custom plans for our customers (i.e.: Rogers customers that are used to 15Mbps, we've done a 16Mbps plan for $45.95).

I want to respect the forum and the rules here, so I won't go into the sales pitch to discuss your options, but if you'd like more information, feel free to call the number on the site or the flyer and press 5 for sales. That line goes directly to me, Jawn Taboika - I'd be happy to talk about our offering and see what we can do to get you installed as soon as you're ready.

As a special promotion, with all the interest and positive feedback we've received from RedFlagDeals' Forums, I am prepared to offer you your first month of service for free. This is limited to this site, so when you call, just let me know you saw this post and we'll honour that.

Hope you're all enjoying the beautiful summer so far, and thanks again for your interest in Epsiton Online.

Cheers,
Jawn

Hello again Jawn!

Good to hear that you were able to post.

Currently with Distributel for their Cable Internet 28. I usually get around 28-30Mbps speeds on SpeedTest. How does your service compare?

Where is your call center located?

Faust

Jawn(jtaboika is a co-founder for anyone who missed his first post) how do you guys differ from a company like teksavvy? I'm moving near trinity bellwoods in august and am looking for a good ISP there. How does it work for modems? What is your tech support infrastructure like?

Just a quick correction - i was on Epsiton's sales team - not a founder. And I have since terminated my employment with them due to unforeseen circumstances.

I would avoid these guys at all costs. Their brand design is garbage, their website is amateur, looks like spam mail from 2002, and appeals to the lowest common denominator, they make claims that cannot be backed up, and the people in the pic on their site look like they're trying to figure out the Wii except the Wiimote has been photoshopped and replaced by a remote control.. . . They severely spam other sites, and their spam is of no higher quality then anything else they do. Yeah, if these are any indications, you're getting nothing for your money from these guys. I'd go Acanac in a heartbeat before I'd even inquire with these vision-lacking ***** slackers.

Harsh, yes, but I don't take well to spam tactics and false claims. Make of it what you will.
