That fare is crazy because I have seen fares around $500. There will be sales I'm sure for the fall.

I do see $422 taxes in with United from Buffalo with 1 stop or $434 taxes in nonstop with Delta from Detroit.

i shall wait then. i prefer a non-stop and early morning flight actually, perhaps that's why the price is a little steep!

thank you for your feedback! :)

Since it's peak season, I'd say $600 is a good price point as prices to LAX/SFO are crazy this time of year. Keep an eye out for United and AC sale.

For reference,

Last year I booked to LAX for ~$520 for the first week in October (over thanksgiving - non-red eye flights). I booked about 2 weeks before and got this deal. When Ive gone to SFO it was ~$550 but that was awhile ago. From recent memory good fares to either tend to be between $500-$600 though it might depend on time/availability.

Sign up for KAYAK alert for YYZ-SFO to get daily notice
use FareCompare.com to predict a trend

I'd book it as soon as it's < $650 or even $700...

My story
looking for YYZ-SFO, early morning, return red-eye AC754 for late July
started 2 months ago I think...always been $700, and only 1 day it dropped to $600 r.t. (and I didn't book >_<)
and I saw NO coupon deal from AC/WestJet in these 2 months

30 days out it jumped to $750... when I finally booked via AMEX (to use the free $200 credit from AMEX Platinum) on 6/29, it was $840 (ouch) - $200 = $640
But after that it started going up up up... and today (3 weeks out) it's $1000-$1100

YYZ-LAX is easier to have deals. YYZ-SFO is difficult

Shall I book this one now or should I wait?

Direct flight from YYZ to SFO in Oct.

$642.07 taxes and everything all in?

What'd you suggest?

BUF-SFO used to be around $300. Those were the glory days.
