EI missed report - no decision on claim from Service Canada

Hi,

I am waiting for a decision from Service Canada on my EI claim.

I accidentally missed a report when I was busy with job search related activities (at a conference out of town, etc.) and then got stuck not being able to get through on the phone lines to rectify it. I've also had the website time out multiple times when I log in.

Eventually, when I got through the call center people advised me that I need Service Canada to make a decision before this missed report issue can be dealt with. In the meantime, I can't file any further reports. I went to a Service Canada office and called my MP to set up an appointment to get some help.

Does anyone have any experience with missing a report? I am afraid I won't get any benefits now because of a paperwork mistake.

Any ideas about how to deal with this would be helpful.

I think you have 3 weeks to file a report, you forgot it for 3 weeks?

If you have proof if the conference you should be fine.
